Fattoria del Cerro

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2003

80% Prugnolo Gentile (a clone of Sangiovese), 20% blend of Canaiolo Negro and Mammolo.  The wine was aged for 2 years in a mix of Slavonian and French oak.

WS- 88 points, “Chewy and structured, with velvety tannins, a full body and a medium finish.  Very good berry and mineral character.  Best after 2007.”

Gambero Rosso-2 out of 3 glasses, “The Nobile ’03 is on top form, with concentrated, flavorsome palate full of fine delicate aromas.”
