Domaine Ott

Bandol AOC Rosé Château Romassan 2006

Mourvedre, Cinsault and Grenache.  Domaine Ott makes the world’s most well balanced, dry rose wines from their estate vineyards in Provence, France.  The soils at Chateau Romassan are quite poor with a variety of stones and minerals.  This gives the wine its elegance and complexity as the grapevines much strive harder and produce lower yields of high quality, flavorful grapes.  The winery hand picks the grapes and does extensive sorting after harvest to remove any damaged or unripe fruit.  While rose is an after though for most wineries, for Domaine Ott it is an obsession.
