Delectus

Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2002

This is the last of the Oakville designated Cabernet’s from Delectus as the grapes now go into their luxury cuvee, Julia.  The wine shows aromas of cherry liqueur, crème-de-cassis, well-integrated oak, some vanilla bean, cocoa. Well-structured mouth feel, a trace of dust, loaded with dark fruit, rich chocolate, and a very long finish.  The wine is coming into its’ own now and should continue drinking beautifully for many years.
